KICKED out of Mexico by the government in the wake of the swine flu epidemic and pounds 2,500 down on the deal - it's fair to say Ryan Thomas has had a pig of a start to life on the Canadian Tour! Everything had been going swimmingly for the 27-year-old, from Aberdare, when he headed across the Atlantic a fortnight ago as the Canadian Tour traditionally tees off its season with the Mexican Swing - a month of tournaments in the Central American country.

Not even a missed cut in his first event at the El Cid Club in the coastal town of Mazatlan could dampen his enthusiasm for the adventure that lay ahead.
