Drivers in Wales are among the worst in Britain for tailgating, according to surveys conducted by the RAC Foundation around Britain. The average proportion of vehicles travelling too close to the vehicles in front was 41%, across the 15 sites surveyed.

But on the M4 at Port Talbot 50% of vehicles were not leaving at least the recommended gap of two seconds after the vehicle in front.
