A 17-YEAR-OLD girl wasted hours of police time and caused annoyance to the public with a series of hoax 999 calls, a court heard yesterday.

During 10 calls from mobile phones the girl, from Colwyn Bay claimed people had knives, alleged a kidnapping, and that two people had dumped a body, Llandudno youth court was told. A WPC recognised her voice and the teenager told police that alcohol may have played a part in her actions.
