The difference between men and women has hit the headlines again - this time to do with the dramatic pay gap that exists between genders. Stephen Jenkins takes a look at the issue and how treating women fairly in the workplace is not 'a nice to have' - but a legal requirement

LAST month, the Women and Work Commission published its report into the gender pay gap after 18 months of investigation. Its stark conclusion was that the gap is worse in Britain than anywhere else in Europe. This is despite the fact that the Equal Pay Act has now been in operation for over 30 years.
