SIR -Why do those in South Wales consider us in the North as though we have just fallen off the back of a turnip lorry? First Minister Carwyn Jones, when opening the new Welsh Assembly building in Llandudno Junction, declared it was a historic day for the people of North Wales that would bring 500 jobs.
In fact we have been presented with the ugliest building in Wales at a cost of more than pounds 27m, whose energy-saving design will never recover the energy required to build it; the "token" jobs will add at least pounds 10m a year to our taxes, and if they transfer civil servants from Cardiff each will bring, on average, two others requiring employment in our area.See the full content of this document
