A pensioner once dubbed the "original neighbour from hell" was threatened with arrest for contempt of court yesterday after attempting to walk out of an appeal hearing. Dorothy Evans, 81, was appearing at Newport Crown Court to appeal against her convictions in May for driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
The offences were committed by Evans in her K-registration Metro during the evening of October 20 2005 when she reversed into a parked car near her home in Park Crescent, Abergavenny, causing around pounds 600 in damage.See the full content of this document
