THE Conservatives expressed concern yesterday that the Treasury did not consult with the Assembly Government or tourism operators in Wales over an end to tax breaks they claim could have a "catastrophic" impact on the industry.

Under budget changes from next year, holiday home owners will lose so-called trading status and will no longer be able to use their properties to defer capital gains tax payments.
