A forgotten charter, which gave Horatio Nelson the freedom of a Welsh town, has been discovered. Over two centuries ago, in a brief respite from the long war with France, Lord Nelson paid a famous visit to West Wales.

Accompanied by his paramour Emma Hamilton and her husband Sir William, the party spent several days in Pembrokeshire visiting Milford Haven, Haverfordwest and Tenby.
