WE DECIDED to Go West for New Year's Eve. The last day of the year can feel like the last day on earth in Cardiff. The capital takes on an apocalyptic darkness as revellers battling on the binge- drinking frontline are felled by shots of WKD Blue and stretchered across town to emergency field hospitals.
