Summary

Ahuge leatherback turtle fitted with a satellite tracking device in South America has made a marathon 7,000-mile journey into the waters around Britain, wildlife campaigners have announced. Aikanti was fitted with a satellite transmitter in Surinam in June, as part of a WWF project designed to monitor the movement and threats to the species in the Atlantic.
