ON Tuesday, I attended an inaugural lecture organised by the University of Glamorgan, addressed by Professor Stephen Lacey.
It was about BBC television drama of the 1960s and 70s. There were black and white clips of powerful scenes from mould-breaking plays like Cathy Come Home, and references to people I'd known years ago. I found it very enlightening. I used to post my scripts from Mountain Ash, only rarely visiting Television Centre for a first read-through or a recording.See the full content of this document
