Summary
The Welsh-born chief technical officer of car giant Ford, Richard Parry-Jones, has received an honorary fellowship from Swansea University. Mr Parry-Jones, originally from Bangor, Gwynedd, harboured an ambition from childhood to become an engineer and he joined Ford's product development group in 1969 as an undergraduate trainee.
He went on to hold a number of product roles in Ford's UK operations and his name is linked to a variety of household brands - not just Ford, but Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin.See the full content of this document
