SIR - I write to thank Mr Alun Lenny for his letter (July 18), informing us of the insane and irresponsible decision of the Urdd to allow the sale of alcohol on the Eisteddfod field.

I would also like to congratulate the members of the West Carmarthenshire Independent Denomination, especially the 16 to 25- year-old people, for their motion protesting against the decision made by the Urdd general council.
