Plans of how more than pounds 3bn of European-backed funding for the most deprived areas of Wales will be spent have been submitted. First Minister Rhodri Morgan yesterday confirmed that the new Convergence Fund programmes, the successor to Objective One, for West Wales and the Valleys had been formally submitted to the European Commission.
The documents set out the Welsh Assembly Government's plans to 'extract maximum value' from the pounds 1.3bn available from European funds, with the rest coming from match fundingSee the full content of this document
