Women are today warned that some forms of hormone replacement therapy can increase their risk of developing womb cancer. The experts' warning is the second to link the drug therapy for menopausal women to cancer. Results from the Million Women Study found that some forms of HRT, which is taken by tens of thousands of women in Wales, increased the risk of breast cancer.

Now the latest set of results from the same study has revealed the link between HRT and endometrial cancer, affecting the lining of the womb.
