Orchestra tour Tuesday, May 4, 2010, 9pm, Teatro Comunale, Modena Wednesday, May 5, 2010, 8.45pm, Teatro Grande di Brescia, Brescia Thursday, May 6, 2010, 9pm, Teatro Donizetti, Bergamo Day One Members of BBC National Orchestra ofWales, their instruments and an excited group of supporters leave Cardiff for Heathrow and a short flight to Milan. The musicians are performing a concert with a programme of Takemitsu, Saint-Saens, Britten, Elgar and Guto Puw in three northern Italian cities in three days.

The rest of us are looking forward to a holiday with a musical flavour. The orchestra will be joined by their principal conductor Thierry Fischer, harpist Catrin Finch, pianist Nicholas Angelich and flautist Adam Walker.
