Wales' successful red kite conservation programme is helping the birds fly again in Ireland. After more than 200 years red kites are now flying free in the skies of Co Wicklow after 30 young birds were moved from Wales across the Irish Sea.

These are the first batch of birds to be released in Ireland as part of a project between the Welsh Red Kite Trust and the Irish conservation Golden Eagle Trust.
