Playing boardgames such as Scrabble and Ludo can help boost children's ability at school, it was claimed yesterday. Youngsters grasp important learning skills and make strong family bonds through the face-to-face interaction needed to play games including Monopoly, Risk and Frustration.
The chief inspector of English schools said he believed the traditional board games are far more beneficial than computer games as they help children to learn to think for themselves, to wait to take their turn, form allegiances and to talk to other children and adults in a persuasive way.See the full content of this document
