Summary
SOME years back, invited to take up residence on this page, I asked my editor what she wanted my new column to be about. "Well, it's called Women's Own," she said (or something like that), "so just make it about your life AS a woman." I'm pretty sure - she might correct me - that she went on to cite examples, one of which was the physiology of actually being one.
