BUSINESSES could be asked to contribute to a national occupational health service in Wales to reduce sickness rates.
The idea has been put forward by a group asked to look at how Wales can tackle sickness and absenteeism. Work-related ill health costs the Welsh health economy more than pounds 500m a year. Health Minister Edwina Hart will today accept the need for improved access to occupational health services as the report is published.
